Mines casino games: which version to open and how they differ

One mechanic, and so many versions that it is easy to open the wrong one. Here is the whole set from the platform: every card carries the stated RTP, grid and ceiling, every review carries a multiplier table by mine count, demo frames and a comparison with its neighbours. Read the cards like a menu: return first, everything else after.

Every version of mines as a card

The order is not a ranking: classic 5x5 grids first, then paths, big grids, jackpots and instant versions. The green badge on the cover is the stated RTP.

InOut Games

Bare mechanics, no theme: a 5x5 field, 3 to 24 bombs, a cash-out button after every click. The easiest entry point into the format.

Read it one column at a time. RTP is the only thing that moves the expected result: between 98.4 at Minesweeper and 92 at Mines Supreme lie 6.4 points, and that is a difference on every bet, not on a lucky streak. Grid and mine count shape the round: how many clicks it can hold and how fast the multiplier climbs. The ceiling only says what combination the game could theoretically pay, and has nothing to do with the return.

Two traps in the table. First: at InOut the ceiling is set in money, 20000 USD, not in a multiplier, so on a large stake it kicks in before the multiplier table does. Second: Hacksaw ships one game in several builds with different RTPs, and the platform carries exactly the ones named in the titles - 92 and 94.

How to pick a version for your style

Four kinds of player and four answers. No universal advice, because there is none.

I want to understand the format

Take Mines by InOut Games: the studio published its full payout table, and it shows where every multiplier comes from. After that every version reads by the same formula.

I want the highest return

Minesweeper by BGaming at 98.4 - provided you are fine with a path instead of a grid and a 15.11x ceiling. If you need a classic grid, then Mines+ at 97.5.

I want a long ladder

Turbo Mines and Book of Mines offer a 9x9 grid: eighty-one tiles, and the multiplier can be carried very far. The 805001x ceiling there is not a figure of speech.

I want a one-tap round

1Tap Mines: a 5x5 grid, exactly 3 mines, you name the number of tiles and the game opens them all at once. No decisions mid-round - all or nothing.

Every version lives on one platform

One sign-up and the whole catalogue is at hand, from Minesweeper to Mines+.

Questions people ask before choosing

How do mines games differ if the mechanics are the same

In four things: stated RTP (from 92 to 98.4), grid size (from 3x3 to 9x9), the mine range, and the multiplier ceiling. Plus artwork and small add-ons like a jackpot or autoplay. On every single bet the RTP is what works first.

Which game should I start with if I have never played mines

The one whose studio published the full payout table - Mines by InOut Games. It shows how the multiplier is computed from the tile count, and after that every other version reads by the same formula. For a first look the BGaming and Turbo Games demos are handier: they open without an account.

Why do two games share the name Mines

Because two studios - InOut Games and Turbo Games - released a game and both called it simply Mines. On the platform they are told apart by the studio label; here by the same qualifier in the heading and in the page address.

Which of these games has the highest return

Minesweeper by BGaming, 98.4. Then Mines+ by Pragmatic Play at 97.5 and four games at 97: Hot Mines, Jackpot Mines, Mummy Mines and Mini Mines. Lowest of all is Mines Supreme by Hacksaw at 92 - and that is the build on the platform, the game says so in its name.
